Stratford turned out to be an exceptionally easy place to get to, and to get to places from. The hotel is not far from one of the entrances to the station. The staff are all friendly and there is a functioning and quick lift up to the floors. The room was absolutely lovely and came with a heating system I could control and a window I could open - the best of both worlds. The bed was very comfortable, the room spacious, the desk and chair very useful, a wardrobe, little tables, and a great bathroom with a wonderful shower. There was even a sort of bar downstairs useful for getting the odd bottle and snack to take up in the late evening. Getting an Uber to and from the hotel was super-easy too, and safe as they pull up in the little driveway right by the door.

I booked a twin accessible room, which looked great from the photos. The building was level access which was great. Staff were lovely on arrival and always friendly when approached. The building however was not so accessible friendly. Doorways and the lift were small, and the accessible room wasn’t as disabled friendly as hoped. I struggled to get into the room, and there was no room to manoeuvre a wheelchair inside. I couldn’t get past the beds to the bathroom. Luckily I can walk short distances so could use a walking stick to get to the bathroom (which in itself was a great space. Ironically could have fit the wheelchair fine and the shower seat was a godsend). Definitely room for improvement. It ticks an accessible box but doesn’t deliver on functionality.
